Resume Tips from the Experts
Make your resume stand out with these proven strategies.
Tailor for each job — Customize your resume for each application. Use keywords from the job description to pass ATS filters.
Quantify achievements — Use numbers: "Increased sales by 30%" is more impactful than "Improved sales performance."
Keep it concise — Aim for 1-2 pages. Recruiters spend an average of 7 seconds on initial resume screening.
Use action verbs — Start bullet points with strong verbs: Led, Developed, Implemented, Achieved, Optimized.
Proofread carefully — Typos and grammar errors are the #1 reason resumes get rejected. Always review before submitting.
Include relevant links — Add your LinkedIn profile, portfolio, or GitHub if they strengthen your application.
